Biography

Sebastião Salgado (Lisbon, 1982) was a lawyer for a few years, until he decided to follow his passion for films. He went to study script writing in New York, and since returning to Lisbon he has worked as a screenwriter for series and soap operas for Portuguese television. In 2013 he wrote his first short film, “Family Tree”, and in 2016 he made his directing debut with the film “Already Passed”. In 2018 he made “Monday”, and in 2019 “Beware”, his third short film, scheduled for release in 2020.

Sebastião is currently preparing his first feature film, which will be filmed in the summer of 2020.
