Biography

Luís Filipe Borges is 47 years old, but still doesn’t believe it. Azorean, producer, comedian,
screenwriter, Creative Writing teacher, Benfica fan, presenter – not necessarily in that order. He
graduated in Law but has been disappointing his family since “A Revolta dos Pastéis de Nata”, and
with remarkable regularity: “Zapping”, “Conta-me História”, “5 p/a Meia-Noite”, “Manobras de
Diversão”, “3 é Demais”, “Caveman”, “Sempre em Pé”, “Caixa Negra – Arca de Memórias
Açorianas”, “Work in Progress”, “Mal-Amanhados – Os Novos Corsários das Ilhas”. A regular
contributor to the press and radio, he does around 40 shows a year and has written some things he’s
proud of: a couple of books, the series “Liberdade XXI”, “Aqui Tão Longe”, “Conta-me Como Foi”, “O
Mundo Não Acaba Assim”, “A Rede”, “Sempre” and a few things still in the pipeline. This is his
directorial debut.
