It’s with great pleasure we introduce you director António Pinhão Botelho and his movie “The River”.

Biography

António Pinhão Botelho studied at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. He completed the Cinema course, with a Major in Screenwriting and Minor in Production (2005-2008).
After that he went on to complete the Two Year Filmmaking Program at The New York Film Academy, where he directed 15 short films and participated in 30 other projects – working through all kinds of film crew positions: assistant director, cinematographer, sound mixer, editor, assistant camera, gaffer and producer (2008- 2010).
In the meantime he directed several projects (shortfilms, music videos, commercials). From these works we can highlight: “Madeleine” (2009) – winner of October 2010 at ShortCutz Lisbon – “Minutes: to Spare” (2010) produced by The Indie Workforce from Los Angeles, CA – and VIL (2012) which was part of the NYPSFF 2013 official selection.
At the present time he directs commercials (Pizza Hut and various portuguese brands) and works in a portuguese TV Station, “Canal Q” as a director and editor (2010- 2015).
