It’s with great pleasure we introduce you director Afonso Pimentel and his movie “Pó” (Dust).

Biography

Afonso Pimentel was born in 4th of August in 1982.
He started to work as an actor at the age of 14 in “Adeus, Pai” and won the Best Young Actor Award at the Moscow International Film Festival 1997. Since then, he has worked as an actor in Cinema, Tv and Theater. In 2007 Won the portuguese Golden Globe for Best Cinema Actor, and the Studio Hamburg Shooting Stars Award during the Berlinale, for the role played in “Coisa Ruim”. His last cinema role was Pedro da Silva in “Misteries of Lisbon” from Raoul Ruiz. Right now he is playing Zé Maria in “Linhas de Wellington” from Raoul Ruiz and Valeria Sarmiento.
During all this years, he has directed several tv series, institutional films and videoclips. In 2011 created with Rodrigo Saraiva, “Núcleo Casulo”, a group to create. produce and develop contents and ideas. “Pó” is their first son.
