It was there where she discovered her love in writing, directing and editing.
Nowadays already with a few short-films directed and written by her, like “OOBE”, “II Samuel 22:13” and “Utopia” with a great journey trhough film festivals, she’s still working really hard to provoke emotions and tell stories.
Manuel Carneiro was born on the 5th of April of 1993. His life journey has always been strongly connected to the Arts world, having shown a particular interest in writing since he was a child. However, of all art forms, Manuel has always felt a calling to Cinema and he knew his career had to go in this direction.
In 2011, Manuel starts attending a degree at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, at the Cinema, Video and Multimedia Communication course. Here, he had the opportunity to specialize in the Directing and Scriptwriting fields and participated in several shorts movies and short documentaries (including “OOBE” and “Water”).
Currently, Manuel works as a Scriptwriter at SP Television, but he continuously looks for new experiences and job opportunities because he considers them to be a necessity in his creative process. Scriptwriting and Directing are Manuel’s biggest passions and to be able to direct what he personally wrote is the perfect combination. In the end, he thinks everything is shortened in one word: Creation.
