Mário Patrocinio, writer/director and Berlinale Talent/Cannes Producers on The Move 2020, debute
film “Complex: Parallel Universe” was the highest-grossing Portuguese documentary in 2011, won
Best International Film at the Artivist International Film Fest. His acclaimed film “I Love Kuduro” won
Best Documentary at Inquietudo Film Fest., screened at Hot Docs, Guadalajara, and Rio de Janeiro
International Film Fest. Mário is currently developing “My Father’s Wives” and “Jesusalém,” while his
latest shorts, “Before The Moonrise” and “The Tuner of Silences” circulate in festivals. In 2025, Mário
Patrocínio will release his first fiction feature film: Maria Victória.
