Biography
Bernardo Lopes (born in 1994) falls in love with the art of cinema at the age of 13 when he’s chosen to be a jury at the giffoni film festival. Graduated in cinema, vídeo and multimedia at Lusófona University, he now collaborates with the european magazine Nisimazine as a cinema critic at the San Sebastian Festival and at the Cannes Festival. In the year after, he becomes the jury on the International Venice Festival, Venice Days section. He is now the portuguese representative of the project 28 Times Cinema, promoted by the European Parliament and by the Europa Cinemas. At the same time, Bernardo is chosen to be the portuguese ambassador of the Lux Award. Directs his first documentary at Qingdao (China) for the Looking China project which worldwide premiere was on the chinese american film festival, in California. Lux, his first fictional short film, is the winner of 9 awards and was selected for over 40 festivals not only nationally but also internationally.
