Biography

Born in 1966. Studied drawing and puppets animation in Lazenec-Bretagne / Rennes and in Filmógrafo / OPorto. With the short-film “The Suspect” he received the Cartoon D’Or 2000. In the last few years he directed the stop- motion TV series (26×2’) “Home things”, the short film “Sunday Drive” and the drawn animated film “Journey To Cape Verde”. Simultaneously, José Miguel Ribeiro illustrates children’s books and teaches animation in Portugal.
